Yi Jianlian witnessed China’s first domestic flight with WIFI service

Yesterday, Yi Jianlian happened to board the plane with trial WIFI. It is the first domestic aircraft in China equipped with WIFI function to provide better travel experience. Basketball player Yi Jianlian also happened to witness the first flight with WIFI service.

It is learned that Air China currently equips the Airbus A330-300 model with wireless Internet access system. The whole Internet system includes a wireless router, a server, and antenna on the top of the aircraft. The overall weight of system is approximately 200 kg, which is in full compliance with safety standards and will not affect the normal flight operation. When the aircraft climbed to 3000 meters altitude, the device can be activated, when the altitude of about 10,000 meters is reached, the WIFI service in the flight will be available for the computers and tablets. But mobile phones due to the aviation safety reasons are still banned during the whole flight.
