In June, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization will hold the first summit after expansion – the Qingdao Summit.

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit returns to China again. In the past 17 summits, China has served as the host country for three times. This is the 4th time China hosts the summit since the 2012 Beijing summit.

As a key city in the “one belt one road” program, trains from Qingdao can reach major cities in Central Asia within 14 days,

Back in Shanghai 17 years ago, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was co-founded by 6 partner countries, By now, SCO has become a model for regional cooperation attracting more and more new members. SCO is building up the Eurasian partnership, the total area of its member countries exceeds 50% of Eurasia, the total population of its member countries accounts for about 50% of the world’s population, the total GDP of its member countries accounts for over 20% of the world’s GDP.

For the past 17 years, the SCO is not only growing its member numbers, but also the economic partnership among its member countries. Construction of the China-Russia East-Route Natural Gas Pipeline is going smoothly, the Angren–Pap railway line in eastern Uzbekistan was successfully completed, the China-Kazakhstan logistics base has been put into operation.

While SCO is producing awesome results, regional security and stability is also a priority for SCO. At the beginning of its establishment, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was committed to fighting terrorism. For the first time in the world, it defined three types of terrorism: religious extremist, national separatist, violent terrorist. The SCO spirits are: Mutual Trust, Mutual Benefit, Equality, Negotiation, Diversity, Common Development. They are also the charm of the SCO.

We are looking for a new era being open at the SCO Qingdao Summit.
