Sina announced the RMB 1 billion construction plan of its headquarter in Beijing

On May 11, Sina’s SEC documents show that the company has recently signed an agreement to establish the headquarter building in Haidian District, Zhongguancun Software Park in Brijing at a cost of about RMB 1 billion (US $160 million), and the project is expected to be completed in 2015.

The submitted documents indicated that Sina will relocate majorly the administration office, IT center and corresponding manner facilities into the new headquarter. The total construction area of the office building is around 106,500 square meters with a total budgeting of US $160 to 180 million to be paid in several terms.
