Chinese President Xi Jinping on the 8th of June attended the second meeting with the U.S. President Barack Obama at the Annenberg Retreat of the Sunnylands estate in Rancho Mirage, California.

Before the start of the meeting, Xi Jinping and Barack Obama walked on the estate in a relaxed atmosphere and had exchanges. Obama gave a California Red wood bench as a gift to Xi Jinping. California redwood is one of the valuable tree species. In 1972, former U.S. President Richard Nixon’s visited China, he gave several strains of sequoia trees as a gift to the Chinese side. Since then, the California redwood tree has been successfully introduced in some Chinese provinces, becoming a symbol of friendship between China and the United States.
