North Korean is willing to accept suggestion from Beijing to return to six-party talks

Days ago North Korea’s leader Kim Jong-un dispatched a top military official Choe Ryong-hae to visit China. Today Choe Ryong expressed in Beijing that North Korean is willing to accept suggestion from Beijing to go for dialogue with the parties concerned. Meanwhile, North Korea also conveyed communication signals to South Korea. The recent series of diplomatic actions in March taken by North Korea released the country’s willing to accept dialogues. It is widely believed that the continuous tense situation on the peninsula show signs of ease.

Choe Ryong-hae said the DPRK hopes to concentrate on developing the economy and improving people’s livelihood, the nation is willing to create a peaceful external environment. The DPRK highly appreciates Chinese side in maintaining peace and stability on the peninsula, and promote dialogue in addressing the Peninsula issue. DPRK is willing to accept suggestion from China to approach dialogue with the parties concerned.

Yonhap reported that the DPRK side expressed readiness to engage in dialogue about the parties, and showed “sincerity.” Since Choe Ryong-hae stressed that the DPRK side spoke highly of China’s efforts in promoting dialogue, it could mean that the DPRK will no longer reject the future requirements from China to return to six-party talks.
