July 30, the Ministry of Land and Resources issued vital statistics about the land and resource management in mainland of China for the first half of 2013. Data showed that in the first half of 2013, the state-owned construction land supply amounted 277,500 hectares, an increase of 3.5% over the same period and the total land supply is at a high level in recent years.
Speaking from the supply structure, lands used for industrial warehouse, real estate and infrastructure sites grew year on year by 16%, 38.2% and a decrease of 20.8% respectively. Real estate land supply has a capacity of 82,400 hectares, the highest record in recent years. In particular, land for house construction was 55,300 hectares, an increase of 36.9%, higher than the same period in the past five years.
