Fujian province confirmed the first case of human infection with the H7N9 avian influenza

Fujian Provincial Health Bureau Bulletin on April 26 confirmed the province’s first case of human infection with H7N9 avian influenza. The patient Luo, male, 65 years old, on April 18 started to have repeated coughing, chest tightness, with active low heat and on April 23 suffered from “cough, sputum, fever, shortness of breath for two days,” and when he went to the hospital on the same day and later identified as infection of H7N9 avian influenza. 37 closed contacts of the patients had been monitored but with no major symptoms of the infection.

Experts have warned that there is high incidence of influenza and other respiratory diseases at the current season. For the prevention of influenza, it is necessary to pay attention to personal hygiene, washing hands, indoor handling ventilation, maintaining nutrition and a good physique.
