By | June 14, 2013

Former Secretary for Security and current Legislative Council of Hong Kong, Mrs Regina Ip, said that Edward Snowden may not know Hong Kong and the United States have mutual legal assistance agreement, if he wanted to protect yourself, it is best for him to leave Hong Kong. Hong Kong’s “Ming Pao Daily News” said that what the Government can do now is to encourage Snowdon to leave for a relatively safe place. Edward Snowden had expressed the hope to fly to Iceland, if the SAR Government can secretly help Snowdon to get in contact with diplomatic personnel of Iceland in Hong Kong and before the United States sent him to Iceland before the US proposes the rendition arrangement, a diplomatic storm can be avoided.
