May 20, according to relevant provisions of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, the former executive director, vice president of the Agricultural Bank of China, member of the Party committee, Yang Kun was put under inspection due to suspected serious violations of the law.
Investigations showed that Yang Kun sought benefits for others by using the power of his posts as well as accepting huge bribes.
Yang Kun’s behaviors constituted serious violation of discipline, and suspected crime of bribery. According to Chinese Communist Party Disciplinary Regulations, with reference to the relevant provisions of the executive civil sanctions, Central Commission for Discipline Inspection with approval from the CPC Central Committee decided to expel Yang Kun from the party; with approval from State Council, the Ministry of Supervision decided to expel Yang from his posts; Yang’s illegal income had been confiscated and he had been transferred to judicial organs for further investigation of his illegal behaviors.
