EU imposed anti-dumping duties over PV products from China

EU Commissioner for Trade Karel De Gucht on the 4th of June announced that from June 6 to August 6, the photovoltaic products imported from China will be imposed a 11.8% anti-dumping duty. If the two sides fail to reach a settlement before August 6, the anti-dumping tax rate will rise to 47.6%. EU Trade Commissioner De Gucht said at the press conference that the temporary tax rate will kept for six months until December after which the Commission will decide whether to impose a permanent tariff over the photovoltaic products made in China; once imposed, the tariffs will last for five years.
