CPI in July rose 2.7 percent year on year

Bureau of Statistics released the latest data today, the national CPI in July rose 2.7 percent year on year; enhanced by high temperature, vegetable and pork prices increased; CPI rose for two consecutive months, approaching the inflation cordon of 3%.

In July 2013, the national consumer price index rose 2.7%. Among them, the urban CPI rose by 2.6% and 2.9% in rural areas; food prices rose 5.0 percent, non-food prices rose 1.6%; consumer prices rose 2.7%, service prices rose 2.7%. In term of January-July average, the overall level of consumer prices rose 2.4 percent over last year.
