In April 2013, the above-scale industrial added value exhibited a real increase of 9.3% (the following value-added growths are after deducting the price factors, being the actual growth rate), picked up 0.4 percentage points compared to March. From the chain perspective, in April, above-scale industrial added value growth was 0.87% compared to that of previous month. From Jan to Apr 2013, above-scale industrial added value increased by 9.4%.
In term of the sub-economic types, added value year-on-year increase was 4.3% in April among state-owned and state holding enterprises; collective enterprises’ added value year-on-year increase was 5.7%; 10.9% growth for stocks holding enterprises; for foreign and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan-invested enterprises the increase was 7.4%.
In term of light and heavy industry, heavy industry was up 9.6% in April while light industry growth was 8.5%.
In terms of industries, in April among 41 major industries, added value kept up for 40 lines. The textile industry increased by 10.1%, chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry increased by 12.3%, non-metallic mineral products industry increased by 11.3%, ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry increased by 9.2%, general equipment manufacturing industry increased by 10.5%, the automotive industry an increase of 12.9%, railways, shipping, aerospace and other transportation equipment manufacturing industry grew by 1.5%, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry increased by 10.6%, computer, communications and other electronic equipment manufacturing industry increased by 10.7%, the production and supply of electricity, heat industry increased by 5.5%.
In the sub-regional perspective, in April, the eastern part had a year-on-year growth in value of 8.9%, an increase of 9.4% was witnessed in the central region, and the western region increased by 10.8%.
In terms of products, among 464 kinds of products, 321 kinds of products had positive year-on-year growth in April. Among them, the generating capacity was 399.4 billion kwh, an increase of 6.2%; steel yielded 87.61 million tons, an increase of 8.1%; cement was 214.88 million tons, an increase of 8.7%; crude oil processing capacity of 38.32 million tons, an increase of 2.5%; 10 kinds of non-ferrous metals 3.25 million tons , an increase of 10.3%; 1.25 million tons of ethylene, an increase of 3.0%; 2.032 million cars, up 18.3%; 1.098 million cars, an increase of 15.5%.
In April, 98.5% sale percentage was achieved by industrial enterprises, 0.4 percentage points higher than the same period last year. Export delivery value of industrial enterprises was 906.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.1% in nominal terms.
