Chinese President Xi Jinping
November 29, 2012, Chinese President Xi Jinping came to visit the National Museum’s “Road to Rejuvenation” exhibition, recalled the China’s historical process of national revival.
He said, the “Road to Rejuvenation” exhibition, showed the country’s yesterday, today and coming future which gave a profound education and enlightenment. In the last century the Chinese people encountered great suffering and made large sacrifices which was rare in the history of the world. However, the Chinese people had never yields, they continued to protest and finally master their own destiny, and began the great process of building their own country which fully demonstrated the great national spirit with patriotism as the core.
Xi pointed out that everyone had ideals and pursuits as well as dreams. “Now, we are all discussing about the China dream, in my understanding, to achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation is the greatest dream in modern times.” Xi said. He was convinced that around the 100 year anniversaries of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party (which would be year of 2021) the goal of building a moderately prosperous society will be achieved; and around the 100 year anniversaries of the founding of the new China (which would be the year of 2049), the goal of building a prosperous, democratic, civilized and harmonious modern socialist will be achieved; he claimed that the China Dream of great rejuvenation of China will be achieved.
