April 16: 71 cases of human infection with the H7N9 avian influenza, 14 death

According to the ChinaNews, today Jiangsu Province Health Department confirmed three new cases of human infection with the H7N9 avian influenza. Based on the Zhejiang Provincial Health Department Bulletin, as of 16:00 of April 16, Zhejiang has five new cases of human infection with the H7N9 avian influenza. At present, the country reported a total of 71 cases of human infection with the H7N9 avian influenza confirmed cases, 14 death. Among the death, Beijing (1 case), Shanghai (24 cases, 9 death), Jiangsu (20 cases, 2 death), Zhejiang (21 cases, 2 death), Anhui (2 cases, 1 death) and Henan (2 cases).

How to prevent H7N9 avian influenza? Any suggestions?

For the prevention of H7N9 avian influenza and other respiratory diseases, the Beijing Municipal Health Bureau provides five pieces of suggestions:

Suggestion No.1: Keep washing hands frequently, maintain indoor ground ventilation; ensure sufficient nutrition, adequate sleep and rest, and enhance physical exercises;

Suggestion No.2: In case of sneezing, coughing and other symptoms of respiratory infection, use a tissue, handkerchief to cover your mouth and nose to prevent infecting others. Poole with fever, cough, sore throat, general malaise and other symptoms should wear a mask, and attend to the hospital.

Suggestion No.3: Minimize unnecessary contact with livestock, in particularly avoid contact with sick or dead poultry. The poultry eggs should be fully cooked before consumption;

Suggestion No.4: Try to avoid contact with wild birds when in outdoor activities;

Suggestion No.5: The elderly and already sick residents, especially people with underlying diseases should minimize staying in areas without bad air circulation or crowded places.
