An Air China Flight (Chengdu to Guangzhou) forced to return after bird strike

Yesterday morning, shortly after takeoff a Boeing 757 Air China flight from Chengdu to Guangzhou encountered a bird strike. Several kilometers in altitude, the aircraft radar cover was knocked with a large pit, the crew decided to return immediately. After half an hour flight it safely returned to Chengdu Shuangliu Airport, the event caused no casualties. Air China rapidly deployed another aircraft to take over the flight, and arrived safely in Guangzhou yesterday at 15:25.
