A woman diagnosed as brain death after caesarean section: Donated organs helped five people

A woman in Shenzhen with seven-month pregnancy, named Xie Qing, suffered sudden cerebral hemorrhage; after a caesarean section, she gave birth to a baby but was diagnosed as brain dead. Xie Qing’s husband Li Zhao Long with consent of his wife parents, donated the brain-dead wife’s multiple organs. Currently, the donated two kidneys, a liver and a pair of the cornea have benefited five people.
