On May 14, a Maserati Quattroporte was smashed at the opening of the 12th Qingdao International Auto Show. Outside the South Gate of the Plaza Convention Center in Qingdao, four men armed with a hammer smashed the black Maserati “Quattroporte” car valued 2.6 million yuan (US$ 460,000). According to the owner’ friend, the car dealers used the old parts as new parts while doing maintenance, but the owner found out afterwards. The manager of the dealer admitted the fraud, but problem had not been resolved for several months.
