A H7N9 case cured without treatment in Nanjing

According to the Yangzi Evening News, on April 18, the Health Department of Jiangsu Province announced that a newly confirmed case of human infection of H7N9 avian influenza was found in Nanjing. The Nanjing municipal government held a press conference yesterday in which Nanjing Health Bureau deputy director Xu Minsheng told reporters that the patient in this case had been cured. The patient had fever and flu symptoms but treated like normal flue and cured in just 4 days. “She did not receive antiviral therapy and the exact cause is still not yet clear, may be it is related to age and the earlu treatment.” Xu said.
