102 confirmed cases of H7N9, 20 people killed

National Health and Family Planning Commission announced on 21st that a total of 102 cases of human infection with the H7N9 avian influenza had been recorded, including 20 deaths, 12 cured, and the remaining 70 are under treatment.

The report said that across the nation six new confirmed cases of H7N9 avian influenza infection had been recorded in a single day of April 21 (1 in Jiangsu Province, 5 in Zhejiang Province).

At present, the distribution of all the cases is as follows:
Beijing (1)
Shanghai (33 cases and 11 deaths), Jiangsu (24 patients, 3 patients died),
Zhejiang (38 cases, 5 died),
Anhui (3 cases, 1 death) ,
Henan (3).

Cases are disseminated in 4 provinces and 2 cities. There is not yet found evidence of human-to-human transmission of the H7N9 avian influenza.
