100 million hepatitis B virus carriers are in China

Consolidated Report by ChinaAbout.net: Today is the World Hepatitis Day, data show there are 350 million hepatitis B virus carriers, of which nearly 100 million are in China. Hepatitis B virus is spread mainly through blood, mother to child transmission and etc. Hepatitis B vaccination is the most reasonable and effective form of prevention. Experts said that 90% of the hepatitis B virus infection can be cured in adulthood, about 10% will develop into chronic hepatitis. Without proper treatment of chronic hepatitis B, 1/4 of the chronic hepatitis will develop into cirrhosis or liver cancer.

Immune cells in the body attacking the liver and causing autoimmune hepatitis

Infections from viruses (such as hepatitis A, hepatitis B, or hepatitis C), bacteria, or parasites;

Liver damage from alcohol, poisonous mushrooms, or other poisons

Medications, such as an overdose of acetaminophen, which can be deadly
